1. What types of techniques do the Doctors use?

The main techniques that the chiropractors at City Chiropractic Center utilize are a blend of the most effective aspects of a variety of other specialized chiropractic techniques, such as Diversified, Gonstead, Craniosacral, Sacral Occipital Technique and Applied Kinesiology. The treatment utilizes manipulation and a variety of physiotherapeutic techniques, including ultrasound, cryotherapy, electrical stimulation, trigger point therapy and massage.

2. How long have the doctors been in practice?

Dr. Gary LeGendre graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in 1979 and has been in practice in San Francisco since that time. Dr. Michael Ridgeway graduated from Palmer West Chiropractic College in 1983 and has been in practice since that time.

3. Does my insurance cover chiropractic?

Our chiropractors are preferred providers for many insurance companies, PPO's and HMO's. When you arrive for your appointment, our staff will verify your insurance benefits. If you would like to verify your benefits prior to your appointment, please call your insurance company.

4. Do you have x-ray facilities?

Yes, we do have up to date x-ray facilities. However, the need for x-rays is determined on an individual basis. Your treating chiropractor will discuss the necessity of x-rays with you.

5. Where are you located?

We are located in Pacific Heights in San Francisco.

Our Location is: 1833 Fillmore Street #100 (between Sutter and Bush Streets) San Francisco, CA 94115.

6. What are your hours?

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00 am - 1:00pm, 2:30pm - 6:00pm

Thursday 9:00am - 1:00pm

Saturday (every other) 9:00am - 1:00pm

The office is closed on Tuesday.

7. Do you have Massage Therapy?

Yes, we do offer Massage Therapy. We have skilled Certified Massage Therapists on staff who have years of experience treating musculoskeletal problems.

8. Do you bill insurance?

Yes, we do bill primary insurance as a courtesy to our patients. However, all patient portions are due at the time of treatment, on a per visit basis.

9. What does a treatment cost?

The basic initial visit which includes examination and treatment ranges from $75.00 to $110.00 and subsequent office visits are $45.00. However, based upon the patient's condition, your treating doctor may need extended time for a more comprehensive examination, as well as various physiotherapeutic modalities which best suit the individual needs of the patient.

10. How much treatment will I need?

The type and severity of each patient's condition varies. Upon evaluation on the first visit, your chiropractor will determine the best individual treatment plan for your condition.

11. What types of injuries do you treat?

Chiropractors at City Chiropractic Center specialize in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, specifically subluxation. Many other conditions receive benefit from chiropractic treatment, including those that have a neurogenic component. Our chiropractors are experienced in treating general conditions, including neck and back pain, as well as those conditions associated with auto accidents, work-related injuries, sports injuries, chronic conditions and repetitive stress injuries.
